Welcome to Shuping's Mill

Shuping's Mill Complex was a historic grist mill complex located near Faith, Rowan County, North Carolina. The complex included a two-story frame dwelling, flour and corn mill building, cotton gin house (1895), and two other contributing buildings. The mill was built in 1900, and was a 2 1/2-story frame building sheathed in weatherboard and on a stone foundation.

It was destroyed in 1986 when a car crash sparked a fire. The original boiler still remains on the property.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Memories are made on old mill roads.

Rudy Shuping faced early retirement after a random accident left him in a wheelchair. It was a bit unexpected, but he turned his free time and love of antiques into a new endeavor. Every time he saw an antique, it took him back to his childhood and the days of following his father and grandfather through Shuping's Mill.

That love of antiques and flea markets was cultivated in his youngest daughter. She created both Old Mill Flea Markets and it's parent company NYDXP as a tribute to her father. Nothing will ever replace the memories of following her father through markets and listening to his knowledge of items.
